The Whitherd

  1. I just took your Stan Winston course. Absolutely loved it. I use Apoxie sculpt all the time AND I make/sculpt my own masks (cast in latex) but I never thought I could use Apoxie's to make mask itself. Your course solved so many problems for me, as I wanted to do a rigid one-off mask and didn't know where to start.

If I could possibly ask, how do you make the 'twigs' on this one? Are you sculpting them out of something or using real twigs? Are they then just apoxied in?

    Thanks again!

  2. ThanKs Brad. I'm glad you liked the video and that it was helpful.

Of course you can ask. I'll even tell you. They are Manzanita Branches. Best found in wedding supply stores online. They are strong and maintain some degree of flexibility. I mount them on posts that I pre sink into the epoxy clay. Then epoxy around them. It takes a few more steps but I love the tribal chaotic wild hair look it gives.

    Cheers. Bruce
